The new appointment in the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management is not going to be vindictive but to look out for each other, help one another and love each other as they move forward together.
This was highlighted by new Minister, Sakiasi Ditoka after being welcomed by his staff members and members of the senior management yesterday.
Assistant Minister, Jovesa Vocea was also welcomed into the Ministry yesterday.
On their first day in office, the two leaders were provided with a comprehensive overview brief by the senior management team of the Ministry’s core functions, responsibilities and activities.
They also had the opportunity to meet with staff members serving in the Central, Eastern, Western and Northern Divisions and those based at Headquarters in Suva.
Ditoka acknowledged the Ministry and all staff members for the work already being done and says the new Government stood ready to support the Ministry in progressing their service to those who most need it.
He also assured all staff members that Government would be taking a very consultative approach in its operation and would provide a conducive, caring and professional working environment for all civil servants.
