National Federation Party President, Pio Tikoduadua says the Prime Minister is beginning to sound like an empty pot when he continues to bang on about National Federation Party and People’s Alliance policies.

Tikoduadua says parties in the Opposition do not engage in politics for the sake of it, and they do so to make Fiji a better country for everyone.

He says the Government first criticises Opposition policies only to implement them later when it’s too late.

Tikoduadua says in 2014, it was NFP’s policy to cut VAT that was criticised by Bainimarama himself which was then implemented in a huge reversal only one budget later in 2015. He says now the Government is removing VAT on basic food items, removing the 20 cents fuel levy and increasing the minimum wage, that was initially NFP policies, that is being copied by the FijiFirst.

The NFP President says in the statement that the Prime Minister should first learn what GDP is before he worries about what the Opposition is up to.

Tikoduadua says they are not just here to campaign but to win and make Fiji a better place.

We have sought comments from the Prime Minister. He is yet to respond.
