There will be a temporary closure of Terminal 2 at the Suva Bus Station for five days starting from tomorrow, as urgent drainage upgrade works get underway.
Suva City Council Acting CEO Tevita Boseiwaqa has confirmed that the shutdown is necessary to allow the Fiji Roads Authority to carry out essential improvements to the drainage system in the capital.
Boseiwaqa says the works will require restricted access in and around Terminal 2 for safety reasons, and buses that normally operate from this terminal will be redirected to the MPI Carpark for the duration of the closure.
He says SCC personnel will be stationed on-site to guide passengers, assist bus operators, and ensure movement around the affected area remains as smooth as possible.
He is also urging commuters to allow extra time for travel and to follow all directional signs and instructions from staff on the ground.
