4 new electric vehicles have been added to the fleet of Fijian-owned, multi-award-winning transport operator, TEWAKA.

Managing Director, James Sowane says they acknowledge the growing preference for environmentally sustainable modes of travel, and the addition of these electric vehicles aligns with TEWAKA’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

The $600,000 investment includes four 7-seat Maxus MIFA 9 Elite electric vehicles, along with infrastructural support costs, including charging stations.

Sowane says the MIFA 9 electric vehicles have a range of 435 km when fully charged, and that the interior finish, seat comfort, and safety features are of the highest standards.

TEWAKA is the official transport provider for a number of large hotels and resorts, whose guests are increasingly conscious of their environmental impact.
