Suva Soccer Coach Babs Khan says a number of his players have returned with an increased level of fitness.

Khan says all of them are sports enthusiasts and not being able to play soccer for a long time had a toll on their mental health.

He says most of the players resorted to filling the void of not being able to play sports by engaging in individual training.

Coach Khan says many players’ employment was affected as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic but he is thankful to the Suva Football Association officials who looked after them well.

It is yet to be confirmed who Suva will play in its next game.

The Vodafone Premier League season resumes on the 11th of this month where defending champions Ba host Navua.

Ba will then face Nasinu on the 18th.

Rewa currently lead the Vodafone Premier League table with 12 points.

They have so far won 4 of their 5 matches.

Suva are placed second with 8 points while Lautoka is 3rd with 7 points.
