Wallabies legend Phil Kearns says he does not see any “light at the end of the tunnel” for the Waratahs and that his former side might have been saved from further embarrassment by the suspension of the Super Rugby tournament.

Kearns’ comments came after the Waratahs slumped to the fifth loss from six matches, as they went down to the Brumbies 47-14 in Canberra on Sunday.

This is also their worst start to a season in their 25-year history in Super Rugby.

The loss was the second straight match where the Waratahs have also been shut out in the second-half.
