New Zealand Rugby is adamant Super Rugby Aotearoa can be financially viable if it needs to be played again next year due to the worsening COVID-19 situation in New Zealand and Australia.

Crusaders coach Scott Robertson told Newshub that there is no doubt when they review the competition, it is one of the best they have ever had.

Robertson says it felt like they had quarter-final, semi-final, week after week.

NZ Rugby Head of Professional Rugby Chris Lendrum says they do not doubt that this competition is viable from what they have seen for the past few weeks.
