As Term 2 of the school year begins today, the Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro is reminding students, teachers and parents to work together to ensure academic success, as this is the most crucial part of the year.
Radrodro says this term will involve intensive syllabus coverage, the completion of Year 12 and 13 subject projects and preparation for external examinations.
The Minister says students must embrace the challenges ahead, engage actively in studies, and remember that the effort they put forth now will shape their future.
He also encouraged students to seek support when needed and fully utilise the academic and welfare assistance provided by the government.
The Minister reminds teachers that their passion for teaching and dedication are the foundation of every child's success.
Radrodro urges the teachers to inspire curiosity, creativity and resilience in their classrooms.
Radrodro stresses the importance of parental and guardian involvement in a child’s learning journey and encourages guidance and communication with teachers to form a strong partnership that reinforces the importance of education in our children’s lives.
He adds that this term also includes a wide range of extracurricular activities such as Cadet training and inter-school sports competitions, but students must also learn to balance their academic responsibilities with discipline and time management.
