St. John New Zealand to send 4 ambulances to assist St. John Fiji

Saint John New Zealand is sending four all-terrain ambulances to Fiji along with medical equipment and boxes of personal protective equipment.

According to Stuff.co, St John Fiji Chief Executive, Emma Bovoro had requested her New Zealand counterpart last Wednesday.

Saint John New Zealand has withdrawn four Toyota Landcruisers from service, which have now been fully loaded with equipment and supplies.

They will be loaded into containers and shipped out by the end of the week.

New Zealand’s National Operation's Manager James Stewart says the hope is this addition to St John Fiji’s fleet, which currently comprises of 20 ambulances, will aid their ability to get to more patients in remote areas.

The ambulances also have seven defibrillators and PPE.
