Contemporary Pacific music collective Spectrum will be performing with Return of the Dragon at Yat Sen Hall—a full-band showcase performed as an i sevu: an offering of first fruits to the community that raised them.
Opening the evening is The Wires, a rising band of Yat Sen School students making their home-stage debut.
The night will showcase 4 Quarters band, Vā and The Francisco Bhagwan Project—a performance-led, genre-fluid set fronted by Francisco Bhagwan.
The production features live painting by Anga’aefonu Bain-Vete and on-stage hosting by Atueta “Tuets” Rabuka.
Calling the concert an i sevu is intentional as in Fijian tradition, a sevu is the first and best portion brought in gratitude; it can also be the first public presentation of new work, centering on accountability.

Snacks and soft drinks will be available from the Yat Sen Tuck Shop and Student Council stall (hot dogs, lemon iced tea)
There also will be a Kava Bar selling $10 a basin with $5 refills, House rules: No alcohol; no outside food.
Doors open at 5pm, while the show starts at 6.30pm.
