Solomon Islands Governor General appointed as the 30th Chancellor of USP

Solomon Islands Governor General, David Vunagi has been appointed as the 30th Chancellor of The University of the South Pacific (USP) during the Laucala Campus graduation ceremony held at the Vodafone Arena this morning.

Chancellor Vunagi will serve his term for one year from tomorrow till the 31st of August 2024.

USP's Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Pal Ahluwalia says the newly appointed Chancellor would play an integral role in promoting the University to the broader community.

Professor Ahluwalia adds that he was confident Vunagi would make a great ambassador for the university in the region and internationally.

Following the installation, Vunagi says he will uphold and maintain the integrity of the role and support the university's operations.
