The Kaiviti Silktails paid a surprise visit to the New South Wales Blues ahead of State of Origin game 1 on Wednesday.

Players from the Kaiviti Silktails sang a hymn for the Blues following their training sessions.

Former NRL star and Silktails coach Wes Naiqama says Origin is big in Fiji which is why the boys took the opportunity to come and see them train.

Naiqama says there is a pretty even split in team between NSW and Queensland supporters, with the Chairman Petero Civoniceva being a Maroons legend.

The Silktails are currently in fourth spot on the Ron Massey Cup standings.

Meanwhile 4 Fiji Bati players Apisai Koroisau, Tariq Sims, Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Jacob Saifiti are part of the Blues squad for game 1.

Game 1 of this year’s State of Origin series will kick off at 10.10pm on Wednesday.
