Registrar of Political Parties, Mohammed Saneem has confirmed that he will be meeting with the National Federation Party at 2pm today to address variances that have been identified in the party's Financial Disclosures against the Annual Audited Accounts for 2018.
Saneem says once the variances have been properly accounted in the disclosures and appropriate corrections made, members of the public will be able to access the most correct accounts of the NFP.
Announcements on this will be made once completed.
Members of the public are further advised to seek proper receipts from political parties for all donations made to the parties.
This includes fundraiser events and any other form of activity that will generate an income for a political party.
Saneem says political parties must record the source of all the income they receive.
NFP has released a statement saying that they will know on the Registrar's concerns when they meet with him today.
However the party says that they have prepared and submitted to the Registrar's office fully audited accounts as required by law.
