As Shree Krishn Janmashtami concludes today, the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji is requesting all members of the public, mandalis, mahila mandals, and Sanatan temples to disperse flowers in the sea or designated natural water bodies in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Sabha General Secretary, Krishneel Tiwari says as per Sanatan traditions, the ritual of flower dispersal (visarjan) following the celebration is to be done with utmost respect and in accordance with environmental guidelines.
He says to preserve the sanctity of nature and sacred rituals, he is urging people not to dispose of any plastics, synthetic materials, garlands with wires, or any non-biodegradable items into the sea or rivers.
Tiwari says use only natural flowers and biodegradable materials during the dispersal, ensure the safety of all participants, especially children, during the dispersal process and follow any local guidelines provided by town or city councils or the ministry concerned.
He says let us uphold our duty and responsibility to Mother Nature while completing this sacred ritual.
Tiwari has also extends the Sabha’s sincere gratitude to all devotees, mandalis, mahila mandals, and Sanatan temples across the country for the peaceful and vibrant celebration of Shree Krishn Janmashtami.
