Retirement age for military is 55 years and that is the law - Tikoduadua
Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua

The retirement age for military personnel is 55 years, and that is according to the law.

This was clarified by the Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua.

He says this is not a new policy he has brought in but has existed for the past years.

Tikoduadua says the Commander of the RFMF Major-General Jone Kalouniwai, is dealing with it, and he is looking at it as a matter of principle, and he trusts him to do that.

When questioned by the media if this law is for all disciplinary forces, Tikoduadua says the law deals with the military differently from the Police and the public service.
