Residents of Matanisivaro near Qauia in Lami have locked down their settlement to protect their families due to the escalating cases out of the area.
Resident Maikeli Kalou says this was a collective decision by the community because the residents all share the same road.
Kalou is calling on people in his community to follow the law as some families will need their breadwinners to return to work soon.
