Muslims around the country will be celebrating Eid tomorrow.

This has been confirmed by the Fiji Muslim League as the new moon was sighted earlier tonight.

President of the Fiji Muslim League, Hafiz Khan says the message for this year’s Eid celebration is to observe all the COVID regulations and restrictions and stay within the realms of what the government has authorized.

He says during this pandemic the major prayer for all Muslims around the world is to make sure we ask for the Almighty's intervention in making sure that these hard times are gone soon.

Eid mark's the end of the holy month of Ramadan during which Muslims fast from dawn till dusk.
