Former All Blacks captain and No. 8 Kieran Read believes Hoskins Sotutu has what it takes to claim his old jersey.
Sotutu’s spectacular blend of power and skill has been one of the highlights of the Super Rugby Aotearoa and Read says he thinks Sotutu is certainly capable of it.
Read says in terms of No.8, he feels it is a pretty specialist position, but Sotutu seems to have a pretty good grasp of it so far.
He adds it is going to be up to Sotutu if he wants to keep improving himself and keep pushing himself to get better.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday while the Blues will face the Chiefs at 3.35pm Sunday.
