Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau says the achievement of the Team Fiji 7’s team is a testament to the perseverance, sacrifice and humility of the young men and those men and women working hard behind the scenes.
He says he joins all in thanking the captain, Jerry Tuwai and coach Gareth Baber and the team for a job well done.
Ratu Epeli says it certainly serves as an inspiration to our young Fijians that no matter how small we are as a country, we can work hard to be amongst the best in the world.
Fiji defeated New Zealand 27-12 in Tokyo Olympics 7’s final last night.
