Ram Kewal of Laqere, Tabia, emphasized the importance of unity among all races this Diwali, urging everyone to stay united and live in peace.
He says Diwali celebrates Lord Ram’s victory over Ravan and his return, when grand celebrations were held and diyas were lit throughout Ayodhya, the sacred city of Lord Ram.
The 76-year-old shared that they celebrate Diwali together in unity and believe that lighting diyas attracts Goddess Laxmi.
He adds that his favourite part of the celebration is devotion to God and that he continues to follow his traditional ancestral practices.
