People's Alliance Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says he has never tried to excuse what he did in 1987.

While speaking at a People’s Alliance and NFP rally in Lautoka today, Rabuka says the 1987 coups were wrong and it will remain wrong.

The former Prime Minister says he has expressed remorse and sought redemption from his maker and forgiveness from the victims.

Rabuka adds people who want to demonise him should look in the mirror.

Rabuka told the people at the rally that benefits such as free education, bus fare subsidies, pension and allowances and water and EFL subsidy will continue if there is a People’s Alliance and National Federation Party government.

He adds in fact they will try to improve on what is available now.
