Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has conveyed his respect and gratitude for the dedicated civil servants of Taveuni, stressing the essential role they play.

While on his 3-day Northern tour, the Prime Minister says he is there to personally acknowledge and appreciate their invaluable contributions and has urged them to persevere in their pursuit of excellence despite obstacles, emphasising that their endeavors resonate across generations and contribute to Fiji's brighter future.

Reflecting on his personal educational experiences, from local schooling to military training, Rabuka emphasised the transformative influence of dedicated instructors and highlighted the enduring significance of seemingly minor actions, such as administering vaccinations, in safeguarding public health, citing past challenges like the TB outbreak as examples of progress through public service initiatives.

Rabuka encouraged the island based civil servants to embrace the significance of their work, saying they must recognize their efforts and impact reaches far beyond immediate recognition.
