The global community is already grappling with unprecedented challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, conflict, poverty, health, and development.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka highlighted this during the Forum Leaders Dialogue with the United Nations Secretary-General at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium.

Rabuka says the range of World threats is urgent and widespread reflected in the evolving global landscape and the only solution is a collective one.

He adds that strong international cooperation, diplomacy and a commitment to upholding the principles of the United Nations are important.

United Nations General Secretary António Guterres says the United Nations remains loyal to the Pacific Islands and everyone can be sure that all the UN staff in their countries will be focused on people-centred and community-based solutions.
