The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has agreed to prepare meals for patients and staff at the CWM Hospital for another two weeks.
The Incident Management Team had requested assistance from the RFMF after CWM Hospital kitchen staff had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
A team of 10 soldiers are dedicated to looking into the preparation of meals and they are led by RFMF Chief Cook, Staff Sergeant Konisi Yabaki.
Special diet meals are also provided to people with special needs such as diabetics patients.
The team prepares around 1.600 meals a day based on the demand.
