Qauia, Lami resident sent to jail for cultivating marijuana in Kadavu

A 23-year-old man from Qauia, Lami has been sentenced to 3 years 6 months imprisonment with a non parole period of 2 years and six months for cultivating marijuana in Kadavu.

Noa Toga who is originally from Banikea, Lekutu in Bua was arrested following a raid at Togoni Settlement, Naceva in Kadavu last week by the special operations team whereby more than 170 marijuana plants were uprooted.

Toga was with charged with the one count of unlawful cultivation of marijuana.
