A public awareness meeting for the proposed tourism integrated subdivision at Nasese foreshore by developers, Tian Lun Investment that was scheduled to take place on Christmas Day public holiday Monday December 26th 2022, has been rescheduled to next month after concerns raised by members of the public.
This comes as fijivillage News questioned the Department of Environment as to why the meeting on the proposed development was taking place during the holidays. The Department of Environment says they were unaware of the proposed date for consultation by the developers.
They say however, after being brought to their attention, the Director of Environment, Sandeep Singh spoke to the consultant to reschedule the date.
The Department says they can confirm that after the Director’s intervention, the consultation date has been moved to January 2023.
