Police say 17-year-old Aryan Narayan’s post mortem could not ascertain the cause of death due to the state of the victim's body.
Narayan’s body was found in the Rewa River on Thursday morning. It is believed he had visible injuries on his body.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding his death.
She says anyone who can assist with any information that could help the investigations can call Crime Stoppers on 919.
Narayan was reported missing from his Wainibokasi home on Tuesday morning.
His father, Nitesh Narayan had told fijivillage earlier that Aryan wanted to eat chicken curry on Tuesday morning and had gone to a nearby shop at around 11am to buy a chicken.
He says Aryan failed to return home.
According to Narayan, Aryan had $18 with him when he left home.
