Post Fiji launches hamper packs as a demand-driven initiative
Minister for Women, Children, and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa

Post Fiji has today launched five different hamper packs to make it easier for people and organisations to purchase groceries while maintaining measures to control the spread of COVID-19.

Post Fiji says they have diversified their services into groceries as well to maintain revenue and sustain the business which could be seen rapidly declining due to the current pandemic.

Post Fiji CEO, Dr Anirudha Bansod says Post Fiji continues to roll out demand-driven initiatives like the Post Express and the convenience of online shopping to avoid massive gathering and maintain social distancing.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Women, Children, and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa says many of the huge challenges we still face as a society will require a share-based culture and she hopes other organisations will also offer services and products that will suit the needs and pockets of Fijians.

Vuniwaqa says it will also change the approach taken by the commercial sector to meet the needs of the society at this time of crisis.

Post Fiji also donated hamper packs to the Veilomani Food Bank this morning.

The various hampers include a Virtue Pack, Basic Pack, Couple Pack, Family Pack, and Essential Pack and they can be purchased at 20 Post Fiji outlets in Fiji.

These packs can also be bought online and delivered to the doorstep of the recipient through Post Fiji’s EMS delivery services.
