Police have confirmed that the Fiji Roads Authority has lodged a complaint that a scammer is obtaining financial advantage of $150 by deception for the Personal Protective Equipment and is promising people to secure jobs at the FRA.

Police say no one has been taken in for questioning as yet.

FRA’s CEO, Jonathan Moore says their complaint is in regards to a false recruitment process related to non-existent job openings at the FRA in the Northern Division.

According to Moore, the scammer has managed to collect $3,000 after deceiving people.

Moore has warned job seekers to refrain from paying as this is not a prerequisite to getting a job and to not provide any personal information such as bank account details, birth certificates and identification cards.

He says they do not request for money for any employment opportunities or for the Personal Protective Equipment and all their vacancies are advertised in the local daily and their website.
