Police officers will be keeping a close watch on the main highways in anticipation of the movement of supporters ahead of the semi-finals of the Skipper Cup this afternoon.
Chief Operations Officer, ACP Abdul Khan says traffic officers will be working with the Land Transport Authority to keep a close watch on the movement of the travelling public this weekend and will not hesitate to ask people to get off overloaded buses.
Police say people should also avoid waving flags outside of moving vehicles as it poses a risk to other passengers and road users.
Drivers have also been urged to inform police or drive to their nearest police station to report any unruly behaviour.
Meanwhile, Police have visited bus company operators throughout the week to ensure the incidents which occurred last week are not repeated where some passengers were seen rocking a bus from side to side after a rugby match.
