Police officers will be deployed at the Nausori Bus Stand every afternoon and will be visiting secondary schools to talk to students about the consequences of getting themselves involved in activities that could get them into trouble.
This has been stated by Divisional Police Commander East Senior Superintendent of Police Josua Vodo after a fight between two female students happened in Nausori last week.
A video of the incident has been circulating widely social media.
It shows the students throwing punches at each other and pulling at the other’s clothes.
Vodo says the students had already dispersed when officers arrived at the bus stand.
