Police investigators are looking into the element of negligence where an unfortunate accident resulted in the death of a one-year-old child, who is believed to have drowned in a bucket of water in Nalawa, Ra on Saturday afternoon.
Police say it is alleged that the child was found motionless in a bucket of water inside a neighbour’s residence.
Attempts to revive the child proved futile, and she was conveyed to the Nasau Health Centre where she was pronounced dead.
