Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has told fijivillage that they have conducted scientific tests on the sewer systems in Fiji and they now know where there has been a high consumption of methamphetamine and cocaine.
Qiliho adds they know what drugs are being consumed in certain areas in the Western Division.
He says they have been able to do this with the help of their overseas counterparts and hopefully they will be able to get that capability with the forensics lab in Fiji.
Qiliho who has just come back from leave says the break has been good because he has been able to look at things from the outside.
He says they have seen an increase in animal thefts.
