Police budget allocation increased by 44% from 2015-2019

The budget for the Fiji Police Force increased by 44% from 2015-2019.

In 2015 the Force received $109 million while in 2019 it increased to 193.5 million.

This was revealed at the Fiji Police Force’s Strategic Plan launch yesterday.

In the same period, the number of Police officers also increased by 13.1%.

In 2015 there were 4,046 officers while in 2019 there were 4,580.

There was also an increase of vehicle provision for the force.

They had 465 vehicles in 2019 while in 2015 they had 364.
