Police and the National Fire Authority are investigating two separate fire incidents at the Labasa Hospital and at a home in Labasa.
Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong confirms all patients are safe.
He says the fire at the Labasa Hospital started at about 3am.
Dr. Fong says more details will be released later.
Police say NFA and on duty police officers as well as those residing at the Labasa Barracks were deployed to the scene.
They say NFA officials managed to contain the fire while police and health officials saw to the safe evacuation of patients.
In another incident, a house in Vuniyalayala in Labasa has been partially destroyed in a fire.
Police say the matter was reported after midnight and NFA and Police were deployed to the scene.
Investigations into both cases continue.
