Police have acknowledged the assistance provided by 34-year-old Iowane Savenaca who helped in the arrest of an 18 year old man who allegedly robbed a woman yesterday.
Chief Operations Officer ACP Abdul Khan says the suspect allegedly grabbed the woman’s mobile phone and ran away with it when he got off at a bus stop in Cunningham.
ACP Khan says Savenaca who was walking on the roadside chased and caught the suspect.
He handed him over to soldiers at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua before Police came and took him for questioning.
