Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Coach Mick Byrne says the players admitted in the first week of Super Rugby Pacific that they were caught out by the pace of the game.
He says the players owned up to it and admitted that in some moments it felt like they were getting hit before they were expecting to get hit.
Speaking on The Breakdown on Sky Sports, Byrne says they trained for it and the players have caught up to pace quite well.
The Drua will meet the Reds at 8.45pm Saturday.
In other matches, the Blues will face the Highlanders at 6.05pm Friday, the Rebels will meet the Brumbies at 8.45pm Friday, the Hurricanes will take on the Moana Pasifika at 3.35pm Saturday, the Crusaders will play the Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday, and the Waratahs will meet the Force at 3pm Sunday.
