Thousands of people living along Kings Road from Wainibuku Junction to Rewa Bridge are still without water supply for the past two days.
Some people living in the area have contacted us and raised concerns that they have been facing water disruptions since Wednesday morning and were not given any notice.
The Water Authority of Fiji says the disruption is due to a malfunctioned gate valve situated at the Wainibuku Junction.
WAF had said yesterday that repair works were expected to be completed last night however they say this has not eventuated and their teams continue the repair works.
No timeline has been given as to when supply will be restored.
Areas affected are Nakasi, Naulu, Chadwick Road, Davuilevu Housing, Gagali Road, Buabua Road, Sasawira Street, Farm Road, Waidamudamu, FNU Koronivia, Koronivia Research Station areas, Koronivia Road up to Lokia, Dhalip Street, Ramendra Street, WPD Davuilevu, Davuilevu Theological College and Lelean Memorial School.
People living in Nadawa and Narere have also contacted us and said that they have no water supply since yesterday afternoon.
WAF say their team is currently working to find out the reason for the disruption.
Water carting trucks are being deployed and people can call WAF on 5777 for assistance.
