People come forward to assist mother and her disabled son who have been living in a tent after TC Harold
Piniana Vukicanatani of Galoa Village in Navua lost her home during TC Harold.

Make a Difference-Fiji Director Renu Singh says a number of people have contacted them to assist Piniana Vukicanatani and her 1 year 11 months old disabled son who have been living in a tent after Tropical Cyclone Harold.

Singh says the response has been really good after people heard about their struggles on Legend FM News. She says people have been donating groceries while some businesses are even volunteering to buy the materials for the new house.

They are in the process of looking at the overall cost of building a new house.

The aim is to start building the house in about two weeks when they have all the building materials ready.

She adds that a member of the team who will be building the house has even volunteered to provide accommodation to Vukicanatani and her son until the completion of the house.

Vukicanatani of Galoa Village in Navua lost her home during the height of TC Harold in April and has been living in a tent since then.
