People are still lining up outside some of the major supermarkets in Suva and Nasinu today.

Some people have contacted us and have sent us photos of them lining outside MH Superfresh from 7.30 this morning.

People are also standing in long lines at Shop N Save in Nabua and Lami and RB Centrepoint.

RB Patel General Manager Operations Jignesh Chauhan says people do not need to worry about stocks running out as they have enough which can cover for about a month.

Chauhan says they have seen a lot of panic buying recently which may lead to stocks running out quicker however this will not be an issue.

He also says that they are ensuring all COVID-19 guidelines are followed when people are in the supermarket and even when they are lining up outside.

Chauhan adds they are controlling the number of people that are allowed inside.
