Children's Sunday at the Centenery Church in Suva today.

Apolonia Marama, a Sunday school teacher at the Centenary Church in Suva says Palm Sunday signifies the pandemic is not a barrier but a new start for all families.

Marama says families have to put all their problems and challenges aside and focus on their children's future.

She says this year's Palm Sunday is also a time for parents to farewell their children as school begins tomorrow.

Netanya Salusalu who will be in Year 1 read her favorite bible verse with her friend, Joy Cabenalevu in the morning service.

Children around Fiji today led church services with hymns and bible verses and also remembered those children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Palm Sunday is a commemoration of Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
