Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama and National Federation Party MP, Lenora Qereqeretabua

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama today told parliament that the way National Federation Party MP, Lenora Qereqeretabua looks is as if butter would not melt in her mouth but the way she speaks is evil, while raising concerns about Qereqeretabua’s question on whether the e-ticketing allocation for senior citizens has dropped from $10 to $3 a month.

Before answering a question on sugar prices, Bainimarama said he wanted to make some comments about the NFP and started with Qereqeretabua’s question.

He says the NFP has lost the plot, they do not know where they are going and are grasping at straws.

The Prime Minister says the bus fare for the senior citizens has not been reduced.

Qereqeretabua tried to give a clarification on what she had said however the Speaker said he could not hear her.

The Prime Minister went on to say that it seems as if Qereqeretabua wants to fight with everybody because he said he has heard that she used to fight before.

Qereqeretabua then raised a point of order, saying the Prime Minister is using unparliamentary language.

Bainimarama then said NFP Leader, Professor Biman Prasad is running around like a cornered rat after he knew that lockdown is not an option. He says if Prasad is worried about education, he should go and help after what has been happening at USP.
