PM Rabuka and New Zealand's Deputy PM attend beating retreat ceremony
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters, attended the Beating Retreat ceremony at the RFMF's Queen Elizabeth Barracks.

Peters is in the country for an official visit.

The RFMF's traditional ceremony of the Beating Retreat was followed by the lowering of the Fiji flag and a solemn moment to honour the dedicated service of the military.

The auspicious occasion also marked the important relationship and renewed the between the government and the military.

The New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister will be welcomed today at the Pacific Islands Forum by the Secretary General Henary Puna, before visiting and touring the Nausori Health Centre.
