A complaint has been filed with the Online Safety Commission in relation to the case where a call was made on social media for a rape survivor to be raped again.
The Online Safety Commissioner Anne Dunn Baleilevuka says they are now working with the Police.
The woman who spoke out against former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila training with the Namosi Rugby Team while serving an 8 year sentence for raping a woman, was attacked on social media by some people.
The Commission had earlier stated that it had no jurisdiction to investigate matters that weren’t reported to them.
Police have also confirmed that they continue investigations into the matter.
They are yet to confirm whether the man who allegedly posted the comment has been questioned.
Human rights activist, Kris Prasad was also targeted on social media in relation to posts of a similar nature.
Prasad was subjected to racist name-calling and remarks. He was also sworn at and body shamed.
World Rugby had also made its stand clear on the issue that it does not condone any person convicted of a serious crime and currently serving their sentence undertaking any official rugby activities under Union jurisdiction.
