The investigation file regarding an alleged bribery case involving Police officers who placed methamphetamine and demanded money in order for charges to be dropped is still with the DPPs office for sanctioning.

The incident allegedly occurred last year at the premises of a businessman based in Suva.

There was another alleged case where a man is claiming that Police officers placed methamphetamine in his car while he was waiting for his girlfriend in Suva.

Police are awaiting advice on the file.

Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu stresses that there is no place in the organisation for corrupt Police officers who engage in illegal activities.

Tudravu says all allegations made against Police officers that are criminal in nature will be investigated by CID and the file will be forwarded to DPP for sanctioning.
