The North v South match which is also an All Blacks trial has been switched to Wellington on September 5 and will be played in front of no spectators.

The news follows the New Zealand government's announcement this week on COVID-19 alert levels, with Auckland remaining at level 3 until this Sunday night and Wellington and the rest of New Zealand to remain at level 2 until September 6.

Under level 2 guidelines, the North v South match will have to be played with no crowd in attendance.

The match was originally scheduled for Eden Park in Auckland on 29 August.
