Fiji will not have daylight saving this year as the school terms end on the 16th of December.
Minister for Employment, Parveen Bala says the suspension of this year’s transition to daylight saving is to allow students to focus on their studies and prepare well for their external examinations as confirmed exam dates are scheduled from 29th November to 15th December, 2022.
Bala adds this was the outcome of the consultation with relevant stakeholders after evaluating all submissions received.
