Netflix edits hit show 'Squid Game' after woman receives hundreds of prank calls, texts

Netflix has edited a scene from its hit show "Squid Game" to remove a South Korean woman's phone number after she complained of receiving hundreds of unsolicited calls and texts.

South Korea resident Kim Gil-young told local Korean news outlet SBS News that since the premiere of the show, which is centered on people competing in children's games for millions of dollars, she has received hundreds of prank calls.

In the show, the protagonist Gi-hun shows an invitation card to the games, which also displays Kim's phone number.

Kim told the outlet that the bombardment of calls and texts has affected her ability to discern calls for her business.

She owns a dessert shop that using that number for nearly 10 years, SBS News reported.
