Acting Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner Sevuloni Naucukidi, who is charged with criminal intimidation, has been allowed to travel to New Zealand for official business by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Naucukidi appeared before Suva Magistrate Shageeth Somarathe this afternoon to deal with issues surrounding his travel.
Prosecution did not object to Naucikidi's travel arrangements.
Magistrate Somarathe told Naucukidi's counsel Joji Cakau that his client may travel to New Zealand tomorrow and return on the 15th of this month.
He says he must appear in court on the 17th of this month to surrender his passport and take his plea.
Earlier today, Magistrate Somarathe granted Naucukidi bail.
It is alleged he threatened a member of his support staff in July this year.
The case will be called again on the 17th of this month.
