The appeal case of former Fiji 7s player Amenoni Nasilasila who was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment for rape will be called on the 27th of this month in the Fiji Court of Appeal.
Nasilasila raped a 24-year-old woman in Sigatoka on the 22nd of December in 2018.
His lawyer, Mosese Naivalu has confirmed the appeal is against Nasilasila's conviction.
High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar convicted Nasilasila of a count of rape last year.
